DMCA & copyright policy
How StreamMo handles copyright infringement claims, counter-notifications and repeat infringers.
Last updated: January 1, 2026
StreamMo respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and rights holders. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and with equivalent copyright legislation applicable in Canada, including the Copyright Act. This policy explains our procedures for addressing copyright infringement claims.
1. Our content licensing position
StreamMo operates as a lawful reseller of IPTV subscription services and does not host, store or originate the content delivered through the Service. All channels and video-on-demand content are sourced from licensed content providers and distributors, as explained on our company page. We are committed to ensuring our operations respect applicable copyright law.
Because we do not control the origination of any feed, the categories described on our channel lineup page reflect what our upstream providers licence and deliver. Availability of any individual channel may change without notice.
2. Reporting copyright infringement (takedown notice)
If you are a copyright owner or authorised agent and believe that content accessible through https://streammo.ca infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice to our designated agent.
Your notice must include all of the following
- Identification of the copyrighted work — a description of the work you claim has been infringed. A representative list is acceptable where multiple works are covered.
- Identification of the infringing material — the specific URL(s) or sufficient information to locate the allegedly infringing content.
- Your contact information — full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- Good faith statement — a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement — a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
Submit your notice to
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice — streammo.ca
We acknowledge receipt of valid notices within 5 business days and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the material and notifying the relevant content provider.
3. Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to [email protected].
Your counter-notice must include
- Identification of the removed content — description, URL(s) and its location before removal.
- Statement under penalty of perjury — that you believe in good faith the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information — full name, address, telephone number and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction — that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Canada and will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notice.
- Signature — your physical or electronic signature.
On receipt of a valid counter-notification we forward it to the original complainant. If no court action is filed within 10–14 business days, we may restore the content at our discretion.
4. Repeat infringer policy
- Accounts that are the subject of multiple valid copyright infringement notices will be reviewed.
- StreamMo reserves the right to terminate subscriptions of users determined to be repeat infringers.
- Termination for repeat infringement does not entitle the user to a refund. See our refund policy and terms of service.
5. Misuse of the DMCA process
Filing a false takedown notice is a serious legal matter. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)) and equivalent Canadian law, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
